Full-Day Tour: Rafting & Kecak Dance in Batu Bulan, the best combination experience of Bali in one unforgettable adventure!

Begin your journey with an afternoon rafting trip, then watch the spectacular Kecak Dance. One of Bali’s most famous traditional performances.

Ayung River Rafting is one of the most popular adventure activities around Ubud, combining exciting white-water rafting with the beautiful tropical scenery of central Bali. The rafting area is mainly around Kedewatan and Tanggayuda, just outside central Ubud.

The Ayung is Bali's longest river, flowing for roughly 75 km from the mountains toward the sea. The rafting sections near Ubud pass through lush rainforest, steep river valleys, waterfalls, rice-field scenery and impressive stone carvings along the riverbanks.

🚣 What Guests Experience | A typical rafting experience includes:

Safety briefing before entering the river

Professional rafting guide

Rafting through approximately 10–14 km, depending on the operator and route

Fun white-water rapids

Tropical rainforest scenery

Waterfalls and streams

Large rocks and river gorges

Balinese-style stone carvings along the cliffs

Short stops for photos and resting

Shower and changing facilities

Lunch after the rafting adventure

Unlike rafting experiences that focus mainly on rapids, Ayung River rafting is also about nature and scenery.

As guests paddle downstream, they can see dense jungle vegetation, dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and sections of rice-field landscape. Some routes also feature large Balinese-style carvings created on the river cliffs, making the journey especially distinctive.

🌊 Is Ayung Rafting Difficult?

For most tourist-oriented rafting trips, the Ayung River is positioned as a fun adventure suitable for beginners and groups, rather than an extreme rafting expedition. Some operators describe their sections as Class II–III rapids.

Guests should nevertheless be reasonably comfortable with physical activity and follow the rafting guide's safety instructions.
